Orange County’s largest haunt convention Midsummer Scream returns to Long Beach Convention Center on Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29, so save the date and grab your tickets while you can! The two day event features over 76,000 square feet of specialty vendors, roaming monsters, more than a dozen mini haunted attractions and immersive experiences, three stages of panels, presentations, performances and more!
What do we know so far?
The Hall Of Shadows (aka the dark zone where all of the mini haunts and immersive experiences are located) is bigger than ever! We’re excited to see that Mable’s 6 Feet Under, The Hyde Street Massacre, and Zombie Joe’s Urban Death are back, as they’re some of our favorites and should definitely be on your must-see list! Be sure to line up early (or grab a “Gold Bat Weekend Pass”), if you plan on getting through all these fantastic scares!
The Major Halloween Attractions Panels & Presentation lineup will include Knotts Scary Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest on Saturday, and Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights and Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor on Sunday. These attractions are some of the first haunts to open (usually with dates in September), so we suggest you pay attention!
Additionally, The Screaming Room will be jam packed with a variety of films that celebrate Halloween and the spirit of horror, Elvira (Cassandra Peterson) will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the film Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, and dozens of special guests will fill each day with exciting and unique panels and presentations. UPDATE 5/20/18: While we’re eagerly awaiting panel details to be announced, we’ve already added the Hocus Pocus discussion to the list, where the film’s producer, screenwriter, and other special guests will be talking about the making and legacy of the film.
